QL202B H.264 LOW POWER MAIN PROFILE CODEC SOC The QL202B is a Real-Time Half-Duplex H.264/AVC Main Profile (Level 3) Encoder/Decoder (Codec) SoC with integrated ARM9 processor and 10/100 Ethernet MAC, ideally suited for networked video streaming applications. The QL202B SoC leverages the QL200 family architecture, with the addition of the ARM9 microprocessor in master mode, allowing the QL202B to operate as a single chip solution without the need for an external microprocessor, reducing overall system cost. An integrated 10/100 Ethernet MAC enables the QL202B to cost effectively target networked audio/video streaming applications, while continuing to support the low power, high video quality and storage/bandwidth efficiency enabled by its advanced H.264 algorithms. The QL202B Evaluation Kit and Development Kit supply all the necessary firmware, application programming interfaces (APIs) and development tools required to reduce development resources needed to quickly bring networked audio/video streaming products to market. The QL202B supports industry standard Operating Systems, such as Linux, facilitating the porting of common user applications and software stacks. Customers can choose to use standard software or develop custom software to achieve fast time-to-market needs with differentiated products. The QL202B H.264 video encoder is compatible with the VLC (industry standard and open-source) video decoder version 0.8.6 or higher. The VLC video decoder can be downloaded from www.videolan.org.
With its integrated 10/100 Ethernet MAC, the QL202B in stand-alone (or master) mode offers a highly optimized, single chip IP Cast or IP video streaming solution for such applications as: IP surveillance cameras for home security or remote monitoring Place-shifting set top boxes for streaming video to a different location Home A/V digital media server For optimum flexibility, the QL202B is capable of operating both in companion (co-processor) mode, as well as stand-alone mode, allowing it to support a wide array of consumer, broadcast and professional applications for new and existing H.264/AVC-based designs. Like the QL200 family of products, the QL202B includes a Network Abstraction Layer, enabling the QL202B to handle live streams as well as file I/O using various standard transport methods. The QL202B is a highly integrated, fully flexible SoC supporting industry standard interfaces & protocols, enabling cost-effective networked video products. QL202B评估和开发套件EVK-202B The QL202B Evaluation and Development Kits allow prospective Qpixel customers to quickly and easily connect, configure, and control the QL202B device to best determine the Qpixel configuration that meets their audio/video & communications needs. Customers can quickly evaluate, and develop their design and rapidly roll their final IP Cast or networked video streaming product into mass production. Qpixel also offers a superior technical support group with a proven track record of being successful in bringing customers quickly to production.
The QL202B Evaluation Kit The Evaluation Kit includes a circuit board and detailed information for customers to properly evaluate the Qpixel products in order to assess the numerous features and advantages of the QL202B in their intended applications. The customer will be able to quickly and easily plug in their board through a WindowsXP-based PC system and be quickly up and running.
